Mr. Adams' Schedule in Google Spreadsheet

According to Brent E. Adams, Debate Coach & English teacher, "Google houses our administrative documents: my schedule, the practice schedule, and calendars. My schedule and the practice schedules are interactive Google spreadsheets, so students can sign up for times during the day for individualized coaching and can sign up for after-school practice. Parents and colleagues also use these spreadsheets to coordinate meetings with me. Students (and the faculty) have 24-hour access to my schedule, so they don't need to track me down. Students sign up themselves so no questions about whether the time or date is right. I offer them the chance to sign up in class during writing assignments, etc. You have to monitor the schedule and keep it up-to-date.

You can set notifications to find out when your collaborators have modified your spreadsheets, and learn what sheets or cells they've modified. You can also choose how often you'd like to be notified. Here's how you can enable notifications:
  1. Go to the Tools menu and select "Notification rules."
  2. In the window that appears, select when and how often you want to receive notifications:
    • When changes are made to the entire spreadsheet
    • When changes are made to a specific sheet
    • When changes are made to specific cells
    • When collaborators are added or removed
    • When changes are made to forms
    • By 'daily digest' or 'right away'
  3. Click Save.
